On the Renaissance video, as Mr.Bean explain trade it is a big role in the world. Yes, it can join countries but also as he said can make countries enemies. I kind of believe that today trade has become a conflict between countries. In other words, I could put Trump as a example because now the Mexican president is angry at him for not letting him trade over here Mexican stuff. So basically is now becoming a conflict to trade products.
Mr. Green **
Based on the 2nd video, I believe that religion will always cause problems. I, of course i'm not against people who believe on any type of religion. But, overall it seems that people will always opposed of everything that the bible, priest or any written could state.
I agree with your point of view, since we know religion exist and is one of the most causes of the division of the human raze, if they promote love and good integrity why discriminate others with out reason, one example is in the WWII. I know that it wasn't the main reason but why killed a lot of Jews just because his believes. I think that is a kind of Reformation because is a movement where a lot of people are involve.
Denise you make a very good point there are some things that can never be changed and coming to consensus on religion is not possible. Everyone has a set belief since they were younger and there are all kinds of beliefs that are not identical at all. Green talks about the impact religion has which in British history is a big problem as a new ruler enters the monarchy they have different perspectives on religion.
I agree with Denise Ruiz, for the point of view she has of Mr. Bean in the importance of trading among the countries in the whole world. Love the explanation she introduce by describing an enormous conflict we are facing in the 20 century, for example Mr. president Donald Trump, his greatest desire is to make "America Great Again" in order to achieve what his objective, Trump is isolating America from preventing products of food from other countries.
For the second video I personally think that religion has been one of the major reasons for fights between countries. For instance, War World Two, Adolf Hitler leader for Germany, he detest the jewish people mostly because of their religion.
In the video #1 is mostly based on Renascence that is a transition in medieval age and the new era "Renascence" I think this were a big revolution full of discovering and learning in different ways, art, science, math, etc... that help us now in actual days.
Based on the first video, is mostly about renascence, it was first primed in Italy not because of their wine or olive but because of their money. It is also said that renascence are religious. And how Europea was unaware of the renascence because most europeans were still peasents and farm workers. Mr. Green says that renascense wasn't really a thing it was about mutual interdependent that ocurred over the centuries.
After saw the first video around Renaissance, the idea of be an actual era came to be a good question that Mr. Green debated in his video. The several things about how the era was a big market to Italy was pretty comprehensive because of how the economy for the cities grow from the production of art and literature in the people. Other interesting topic from Mr. Green was how the Renaissance was notorious only for the rich people in Europe and the rest of them were living as the change didn't actually happen in history. At the end, the era can be saw as something that occurs in several parts in history, not only in that exact periods of time.
In the second video he talked about Luther and how he did a reformation in the catholic church. He made it clear to the church that what they were doing was wrong by selling indulgences for money. Luther responded with his 95 thesis making it clear that the right way was through faith. In the third video Henry changed the religion in England just for his power, which was to get a son.
Henry did create a new religion for his self-gained. He is not happy that the pope does not allow him to divorce therefore he makes it so that he comes to be supreme head of the Church of England. Now there is no stopping him to do what he needs to do in order to gain an heir.
I enjoyed Green’s view of the Renaissance Era because he brought up many interesting facts about it. In the video John Green argues that the Renaissance Era is not real. He states that the Era only affected those who were rich while the town people were unknown of the “change” that was happening. He also mentioned that the creators of the Renaissance Era happened to be making changes at different time periods, more than 90- 200 years apart. The Era is now known because the people of today are knowledgeable of the changes that happened at that time.
The second video is interesting because it talks about how Luther calls out the church for their hypocrisy and abuses. He later translates the bible for the common people and the people begin to interpreter it differently. This creates uproar and at the end Luther takes the side of the rich. At the end Green says that the outcomes for religious disputes were not all negative because it created protest and reform.
